Introducing DrBioRight 2.0—A Bioinformatics Chatbot for Large-Scale Analysis

NCI-funded researchers have developed an advanced chatbot that could help you—a cancer researcher—study proteomic data.

The chatbot leverages data samples from both The Cancer Genome Atlas and the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia. The chatbot is outfitted with technical features such as a real-time, conversational user interface; prompts (the computer processes natural language); large language models; code generation; and plugins (for data visualization and analysis). All of this makes for a tool that’s approachable and easy to use (whether you’re an early-career investigator or a seasoned researcher).

Put the data and functionality together, and DrBioRight 2.0 stands to be a powerful tool that’s expected to help drive the next generation of data analysis and data sharing.

You can learn more about the chatbot (and watch a demonstration of the tool) in Nature Communications, and you can try it out yourself on the DrBioRight 2.0 website.

This work was supported by NCI’s Informatics Technology for Cancer Research (ITCR) Program and the Division of Cancer Biology.
